Speak No Evil
Well, I guess I spoke too soon. It worked, for some reason there wasn't a red one. Not like it's a big deal because the game is finished but I think the introduction seems a bit quick, and the scenes at Nicole's house are kind of awkward. Like you have to walk up to the door to continue the game. I also can't really decide on what Alex's personality is towards Nicole or anyone else for that matter, it kind of switches around, I think...
Well, besides that, it's a good game. The graphics are really impressive and such, it's a little hard, and I would write a review, but I don't think I really have enough to say. >_<

Speak No Evil
This game is great, but when I downloaded and played it I got up to the part where you need to fight those creatures, and I die without fail on the red one.
Then again, that was a while ago, so maybe it'll work this time, or maybe did he just have a lot of HP? Because I was fighting him for like 10 minutes straight. But I'll try again.

Kryberia - Part 1
I played this a while ago, forgot to comment, though. Definitely different from the rest and cool looking, just a little difficult. If I'm not mistaken the battle song is from Castle Crashers?
Götterdämmerung RPG
Looks cool, I'll try it out. I'm just wondering why there's so much grass and flourishing plants when the world is supposed to be destroyed by nuclear war.
Final Eclipse
How do you like your hero?
post=95340post=94149GAMES NEED AMNESIA RIDDEN MAIN CHARACTERS LIKE THEY NEED ORPHANED MAIN CHARACTERS AND SEWER DUNGEONS; NEVER.
a hero who has amnesia
Oh, come on, sewer dungeons? That's in the other topic. ;)
But, yes, on the other hand, I agree with your statement. Please give your main chars a family, even if they're not alive. Oh, and amnesia is generally looked down upon because it usually makes the developer seem lazy. So think it over before you make the char forget everything but their name.
However, if it's only temporary, it's fine. Like in my current project the main character is confused, doesn't necessarily forget everything, but some things, after a serious injury. Finally, after gaining consciousness, he starts remembering the few key things he forgot at a steady pace, and is back to normal status before the end of the first quarter of the game (even though it skips a lot of time). That aside, the same character's history is the most detailed (probably) in the game, and has a lot of twists, so it makes up for it.
Your First Game
Oh, boy...I don't want to remember my first game. It was just really really bad. I think I gave it some sucky title like the Shadow Age or something. Dear Lord. I think you were basically some mage guy named Ultima (I have no clue) who was bored so one day he sneaks into the town castle, and it turns out the king and queen were actually EXPECTING HIM. Oh, okay. So then they want you to rescue their son, Prince Clavitz. Apparently, he recently left and went to a mountain to train or something and he hasn't returned so for some odd reason they trust you with his life. Sure. By the time you get back with him, and after fighting the first boss, the king and queen thank you or whatever. Besides that there were only a few sidequests. It never got anywhere because I barely ever got any time to work on it. And I barely even understood the program. So it figures it sucked.
The only thing I credit myself for is having half an ounce of creativity to make the main character a mage rather than a swordsman, and at least Ultima and Clavitz's battle styles meshed pretty well. But who cares? It was atrocious.
God, I don't know what I could've been on that would possibly possess me to make that game. Ugh.

Time again, the NPCs?
post=93584post=93441Uh. The fallout 3 dialouges are horribly short and retarded compared to the original two games.
Fallout 3 has an insane amount of dialog options and responses which is overkill for a typical J-style RPG, but you could learn a thing or two from it.
I don't know about horribly short. I think they just cut to the chase and don't bore the crap out of you.
Your favorite type of thing to raid in RPGs
I understand that sewers generally don't make good dungeons, but I think this is only because not many games with sewer dungeons in them (at least that I know of) put them to the proper use.
Honestly I kind of like sewers, if they're used right. In Oblivion there weren't any puzzles in the sewers and it was kind of boring, but then again that game doesn't have that many puzzles. I still have yet to see an awesome sewer dungeon, but come on, it's obviously possible.

What Makes Stereotypical jRPGs Terrible?
post=94941post=94852Heh heh...
FFIIor IV fans,
We all know ff2 only has like 10 or so fans.
Even if FFII did have only ten fans (and I don't mean literally), that's not what I was getting at. I meant that no matter what, the amount of FFVII fans could easily topple the amount of fans of any other FF game.
And it's not like saying "FFII has fans" is an invalid statement.
